GATE Exam 2024, conducted by IISc Bangalore is an annual national-level admission examination that offers admission to streams such as Master of Technology and PhD programs in reputed educational institutions. Aspiring candidates filled out the form and completed the details since the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) opened on 31st August 2023. 

The GATE 2024 Admit card will be released by IISC Bangalore on January 3, 2024. The link to download the admit card for the GATE exam 2024 will be available at gate2024.iisc.ac.in. Applicants who completed the GATE registration before the deadline can access their GATE hall ticket online using the GATE 2024 login, which will need their enrollment ID and password. The admit card includes the GATE exam date 2024, time, candidate details, exam center address, and instructions. The candidates must carry the admit card to the exam center, without it, they will not be permitted to take the GATE 2024 exam.

How to download the GATE Admit Card ?

To download the GATE admit card for the 2024 exam, follow these steps: 

• Visit the official GATE admit card 2024 website. 
• Enter your enrollment number and password provided during registration. 
• Click on GATE login. 
• Locate and click on the link for admit card download. 
• Your GATE admit card will be downloaded in PDF format. 
• Save the admit card and ensure to print a copy for use during the GATE exam. 

Once you download the admit card, make sure you check all the details mentioned in it.

Applicant’s Name – The names of the applicants will appear exactly as submitted in the application form.

Signature – The applicant’s signature must match the one uploaded during the application Form.

Photograph – The photograph corresponds to the photo uploaded on the registration portal.

Exam Date – Exam date, including session-wise exam and timings.

Time (Slot) – Applicants must check their allocated time slot and related instructions. 

Registration Number – A unique registration number is specified on the admit card, which is applicable for PSU recruitment.

Exam Centre Address – The applicants must check the address on the admit card of GATE. Arrive early on the exam day is advised to avoid any inconvenience. 

GATE Paper/ Code – Course or program name.

Guidelines for GATE 2024

The candidates must abide by all the guidelines mentioned in the admit card. Some of the main instructions are: 

1. The applicants must report to their respective examination centers 60 minutes before the beginning go the exam. A pre-visit to the center a day before is advised to prevent last-minute confusion. 

• No entry to the examination center will be permitted after the time specified on the admit card elapses.

• Applicants must carry a valid ID proof and admit card along with them for verification.

• Applicants are not allowed to leave the examination center until the examination officially concludes.

• Electronic devices, including mobile phones, and watches, are strictly prohibited inside the examination centers.

• Virtual scientific calculators may be provided for calculations. Scribble pads are available for rough work.
• The applicants are required to mention their name and registration number on the scribble pad before using it. The scribble pad must be returned to the invigilator at the end of the exam. 
  

What documents should the applicants carry for the GATE 2024?

The applicants must carry their GATE 2024 admit cards and valid identity proof. The following are the acceptable photo IDs for both Indian and international students: 

List of Photo IDs for Indian Students: Passport, Voter ID, Aadhaar Number, PAN Card, Valid College ID, Employee Identification Card, Driving License

List of Photo IDs for International Students: Passport, Government Issued ID, Employee ID

Important HELP Instructions

If the candidates forget their enrollment ID or password, they can follow the below steps: 

To Retrieve the Enrollment ID

• Click on the “Forgot Enrollment ID” option. 
• Enter the registered mobile number.
• The enrollment ID will be sent to the candidate’s registered mobile number and email ID.

To Retrieve Password

• Click on “Request for OTP”.
• An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number.
• After submitting the OTP, candidates can change their password.
