Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU) is set to release the HPCET Exam Dates 2024 for Students to Apply. The Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test (HPCET exam) is a state-level entrance exam conducted each year to offer admissions in different undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The registration link will be available on the official website https://www.himtu.ac.in/. The aspirants need to apply online for the HPCET entrance exam 2024. The exam will be conducted offline (pen and paper-based). The candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria to apply for the HPCET exam.

HPCET Entrance Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria
The applicants must meet the eligibility criteria defined by the rules and regulations of HPTU to apply for the HPCET exam. The key eligibility criteria for the HPCET exam.
- Candidates must have completed the 10+2 examination in the science stream (Physics, Maths, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects, with a minimum score of 45% from a recognized board.
- For candidates belonging to the SC/ST category, a minimum aggregate score of 40% is mandatory in the qualifying examination.
- Candidates who have completed the JEE Main entrance exam are also eligible to appear for the HPCET entrance exam.
- Admissions to the first 50% of seats will be determined by the candidate’s score or rank in the JEE Main entrance exam. The remaining 50% will be based on the candidate’s scores in the HPCET exam.

HPCET Exam Pattern 2024
Exam Mode: The examination will be conducted in offline mode.
Question Type: The exam consists of multiple-choice questions.
Language: The question paper will be available in the English language.
Number of Questions: The UG paper will have a total of 150 questions, while the PG paper will consist of 100 questions.
Duration: A time period of 3 hours and 15 minutes will be allotted for UG courses and 2 hours for PG courses.
